Wedding Ceremony and Celebration

Officiant: Damian Duplechain

Damian Duplechain is a Relationship Coach and Educator, whose uses what he knows as a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist, Couples Workshop Presenter, and Advanced Imago Clinician. We began working with Damian while we were dating, the second time, during 2004. As some of our closer friends know, that was a time when our relationship could have gone either way. Damian coached us as we learned a lot about the Problems and the Solutions, and look at us now!

Damian believes that committed love relationships are the most valuable resource on Earth because they provide the most powerful crucible for personal growth, emotional healing, safety, pleasure...and real, true love. He is totally dedicated to teaching people how to achieve successful, happy relationships. He believes that all of us have the innate power and knowledge to co-create the great marriages of our dreams, but virtually everyone needs to add in effective education, new skills, and supportive coaching to our dream in order to reach the goal.

We absolutely know that our successful coaching and education with Damian, along with our daily re-commitment to proactively work on our relationship, is the best gift we'll ever give ourselves, for our entire lives. We hope everyone we knows will do his Couples Workshop and some coaching, and check out his website (see link below). If you're not in Houston, he'd be happy to recommend some great colleagues in your area no matter where it is on the planet.

We are eternally thankful to Damian. His role in our lives, along with his inherent wisdom, kindness, and background in a variety of religious and spiritual traditions led us to the conclusion that there was no one better suited to marry us. We asked him to officiate, and he agreed! Damian was ordained especially for this occasion&ellip; our wedding will be his first!

Relax, it's for fun! For the past 3 years, my birthday party has been a White Party. Don't start, we did it way before P. Diddy. It was an idea Jan came up with after a trip to Miami, kind of a goof, but the effect was spectacular! 98% of the guests actually wore white. The ambience was incredible, people seemed happy, festive but peaceful. Much more so than even at a regular Club Naj party. (Naj-Jan-jaN-Naj...get it..)
What do you say to someone who hates wearing white?
It's my wedding, wear it!! Just kidding. Please trust us on this, it will be so much fun. Studies show that costume/theme parties boost serotonin levels much more than regular parties do.
But what do I wear?

Think casual, the big bonus here is that you don't have to wear a suit or any other uncomfortable thing.

Ladies examples-skirt and top, white pants/jeans tank top and heels, a white tennis skirt and a hoodie, white sundress or cocktail dress. Don't think fancy at all, the bride's dress won't even be that fancy. For men-linen or cotton pants jeans or shorts, nice white t shirt or polo, short or long sleeve button down.

Where the #$* am I supposed to find white pants/shorts/jeans??

Resortwear always has white for caribbean destinations. The malls are stuffed with white clothes for ladies. Internet shopping is always fun, go to shop.com and search for "white pants men's" or something like that. If the pants thing is too complicated, we won't stop you at the velvet rope in khakis or natural linen colored pants.

If you must! If anyone doesn't have a white shirt whatsoever...we'll spot you a Hanes when you get to Miami.

What about all tan? Or all yellow? Close enough, right?
No! Come on guys, tan is not white. ( See above disclaimer on the tan/khaki pants.) If you've got something white with some colored accents but it's still basically white, that's totally cool. Maybe even a white shirt where t half of it is tan or yellow, or if it has really light pinstripes, just so ya look white.
But, but, but...?
Ahhh, shushhh. We're not expecting you to drop big bucks on any fancy outfit that you'll just go spill your cosmo on. It'll be fun, you'll love it! If you're a slob, when you fill out the response card DON'T order the chicken with tomato sauce. Drink white wine.
